There's still a crust of ice
laying over all the green
but here, there
a bud pokes through
Crocuses, Snowdrops
Proudly proclaiming
that winter wont last
that they have come
as the first ambassadors
leading behind them
the tulips, daffodils
and later
lilacs
bleeding into summer
