Day Six: Personal, No Prompt

I've been pushing myself recently

trying new things

It's good for me

It's helped me to forget

I've made new friends

Even kept in touch with old ones!

I work a lot

(That's not always good)

But I keep busy

And that is good

Learning how to cope

No-

Learning how to be me

It's a new adventure

It's scary

but exciting

Day Five: Personal, No Prompt

The sun shines down

in what seems like the first time in years

It warms the earth with its touch

And lifts the seeds from their sleep

Everything becomes green,

as if by magic

The birds begin to sing

They never left,

but now they yell to the sun

"it's over! it's over! Winter has gone home!"

And my heart soars

Day Three: Personal, No Prompt

Walk in, slam the door

Nothing's been done

too much to do

stress ads up

Like layers to the laundry pile

Not enough hours in the day

Nor money in the check

The floors need sweeping,

the rugs need beat

Never enough days in a week.
